Early Thrash Pics in GQ Germany

 

Judging by the the Deutsche edition of GQ, the pinnacle of men’s style in Germany seems to be sweaty, sneering thrashers drooling beer from their snarling lips. They’ve published a handful of early ’80s photos this month by old school metaller Brian Lew, including shots of Kirk Hammett in Exodus, Kerry King in Megadeth (above), Armored Saint, and the sainted Cliff Burton. Maybe there was a mix-up at the printer’s between GQ and Whiplash mags?
